Dina is a Texas pastel artist. Pastels give her the freedom to work quickly and to express the feeling of the moment. When working on a landscape painting, the light is in constant movement. How an artist relates to this changing light and shadow is important to a plein air painting. Dina enjoys capturing this fleeting moment and the connection it poses between God, man and nature.
Dina has a BFA in art from the University of North Texas. She has studied with Ethel Spears, Bob Rohm, Ramon Kelley and Lorenzo Chavez.
Her favorite painting spots are Big Bend, Palo Duro Canyon, Enchanted Rock and her own Bosque county acreage. She feels her paintings help preserve the beautiful landscapes of her native Texas.
She is a Signature Member of the Plein Air Artists of New Mexico (PAPNM), the Plein Air Artists of Colorado (PAAC) and the Pastel Society of the Southwest (PSSW). She is a member of the Outdoor Painters Society (OPS), the Pastel Society of New Mexico(PSNM) and the Pastel Society of America (PSA).
